Technology workshop in Vietnam
From 4 to 7 November the Italian ceramic machinery manufacturers will be taking part in an itinerant seminar coordinated by Acimac and the Italian Trade Agency ITA
The Italian ceramic machinery manufacturers are about to set off on a business mission to Vietnam.The initiative involves two technology workshops to be held in the country’s two largest cities, Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, and organised by the Italian Ceramic Machinery and Equipment Manufacturers’ Association Acimac and the Italian Trade Agency ITA, in cooperation with the Vietnamese tile manufacturers’ association VIBCA.
The two missions have identical programmes.Following the opening remarks and an overview of the Italian ceramic machinery manufacturing industry, participants will be given a presentation of the new technologies offered by the Italian companies.The programmes of both events will be concluded by B2B meetings with local companies.
During the trade mission, visits to the factories of Vietnamese ceramic companies will also be organised.
The Italian companies taking part in the mission are Sacmi, System, Siti B&T, Projecta, LB, Tecnema, Manfredini & Schianchi and Certech.
The importance of the Vietnamese market is reflected in the figures for the sector published in the Acimac national statistical survey.In the “Others Asia” area – which includes Vietnam and other major Southeast Asian countries such as India, Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia – the industry generated a turnover of more than 221 million euros in 2013, 4% up on the previous year. This corresponds to a 16.2% share of the sector’s total exports.
