CS 21-13
Italian technological excellence takes centre stage at Ceramics China under the banners of Acimac and ICE. While taking part in the most important Asian ceramics exhibition, the Italian machinery manufacturers also participated in a conference exploring the innovations introduced by digital decoration and met their customers at an evening event inspired by Italian flavours.
Italian ceramic technology was once again in the spotlight at the 27th Ceramics China, the sector’s most important exhibition in Asia held from 29 May to 1 June in Guangzhou, China. A major showcase for international businesses, the event extended over a total floor space of 80,000 square metres (8 halls and 800 exhibitors) in the Canton Fair Complex, where the Italian ceramic machinery and equipment producers were hosted in a joint pavilion coordinated by Acimac and the Italian Trade Commission ICE.
The Italian delegation included leading companies such as Air Power, Bongioanni, BMR, Capaccioli, Cielle, CMF Technology, Colorobbia - Industrie Bitossi, LB, Manfredini & Schianchi, Setec, Siti-B&T Group, System and Tecnoferrari.
Other companies taking part with their own stands included Intesa, Sacmi, Mectiles, Plastorgomma, Lamberti, Sibelco, Smaltochimica, SRS, Tecnografica and Vetriceramici.
Besides showcasing latest-generation technologies, the Italian companies taking part in the exhibition were also involved in two outstanding events organised by Acimac and ICE on the first day of the show, 29 May. At 2.30 p.m. there was a seminar on the theme of digital decoration where Intesa (Sacmi Group), Siti B&T Group-Projecta, Durst and Tecnoferrari gave detailed presentations discussing the development of the technology.

Visitors to the Italian pavilion had the chance to pick up the special Chinese issue of the magazine Ceramic World Review with its extensive coverage of new digital tile decoration technologies, a major theme at this edition of Ceramics China.
