From Modena to Bangkok: Italian ceramic technology in the spotlight in Thailand
The Italian ceramic machinery and equipment manufacturers’ association ACIMAC and the Italian Trade Commission ICE organised a joint participation of Italian companies at the second edition of Asean Ceramics, which was held in Bangkok from 9 to 11 September
Italian ceramic technology, the world leader in terms of innovation and automation, took centre stage at the second edition of the Thai exhibition Asean Ceramics in Bangkok from 9 to 11 September.
The Italian area was located in a highly visible position under the banners of ACIMAC and ICE, the associations that have organised the Italian companies' participation.
Italian technology was represented by: Bmr, Cielle, Cimes, Keran, Gabrielli Technology, Manfredini & Schianchi, Mectiles Italia, Remix, Poppi Clementino, Sacmi, Setec and Tecnoferrari.
The ASEAN region centred around Thailand offers excellent growth opportunities for Italian ceramic technology, which already enjoys a leadership position in the region.
In 2014, 15.4% of all Italian exports were shipped to the region that Acimac Research Department surveys define as "Others Asia", which includes the ASEAN countries. The value of Italian exports to the area totalled 214.9 million euros.
