Ireland sees solid economic and construction growth

Despite slower growth across its main trading partners and spectre of Brexit hanging over the nation, Ireland’s economy continues to outperform even the most optimistic of expectations.

It has overcome the crisis sparked by the 2008 housing bubble and has seen its economy return to solid growth.

GDP is growing at a higher rate than the EU average (+4.5% in 2018) and according to the European Commission’s recent estimates is expected to continue to do so over the coming years (+4% in 2019).
