Research Center

ACIMAC Research Center presents the new website MECS - Machinery Economic Studies.

MECS' main objective is, on one side, to group together in a single website economic forecasts and statistical analyses of ceramic and packaging capital goods and, on the other side, to propose updated news coming from the two sectors both at national and international level. Furthermore, the website provides entrepreneurs, managers and professionals an exclusive and valuable tool for analysis, study and forecasting in order to support and steer companies' sales and international development strategies.

For more info check the sections below or visit www.mec-studies.com

The Research Department produces a wide range of documents for the benefit of member companies, analysts, economists, journalists and students. These include studies, surveys and economic and statistical forecasts for the ceramic machinery industry and the sectors upstream and downstream.
It provides entrepreneurs, managers and professionals with exclusive and valuable tools for analysis, study and forecasting to support and steer companies' sales and international development strategies.

The quarterly and annual studies are produced by analysing databases, international information sources and data provided directly by sector companies.

The main studies produced by the Research Department focus on:

  • Trends in national and world ceramic machinery trade (production, imports, exports, trade balance)
  • Quarterly trends in sector turnover
  • Fluctuations in purchasing prices of raw materials and components
  • Sector data divided up by groupings and client supply chains
  • Analysis of world production and consumption of ceramic tiles
  • Financial statement analysis and competitive analyses

Each year the Research Department conducts a National Statistical Survey of the performance of the sector, which is sent out to all companies in the sector and to major national and international governmental and economic institutions.

The Research Department can perform customised research activities tailored to companies' specific needs.
